“This is a hidden gem of a gallery and anyone visiting Glastonbury should take a look. Somerset Crafts is only a few miles out of town and well worth the trip. The Gallery is a large, airy, white building which displays the work of the members of the group. There is a good mixture of arts and crafts including photography, textiles, stone carving, ceramics, painting, sculpture and wood carving. The work is of a high standard and there are items to suit every pocket. There is also a good selection of cards on offer. Somerset Crafts showcases the work of local artists and that local inspiration makes the pieces on display unique to this place. The person staffing the gallery is one of the artists so very knowledgeable about the exhibition. There is plenty of parking directly outside the Gallery which itself is all on one level. There is also a cafe outside serving home cooked food and cakes which can be eaten outside in warm weather or inside the gallery if you prefer.”
