Lorna Brown

I am a local artist from Shipham in Somerset.  I am also a Horseriding Coach and Animal Therapist. I started my career as a painter and illustrator but my knowledge and interest in the structure and movement of animals fuelled my passion for sculpture.  I have developed a technique which uses a combination of wire, metal, fabric and resin to produce expressive, figurative animal sculptures.  The sculptures are set into a slate effect base and the organic finish on each piece mimics rusting metals and weathered paintwork.
